Az. Agr. Benito Ferrara

Campania, Italy

The Benito Ferrara winery boasts a rich history that stretches back to the early 20th century. Today, it encompasses 8 hectares of land, all of which are situated within the Tufo municipality. The vineyards are primarily found in the San Paolo hamlet, renowned for its traditional Greco di Tufo grape cultivation, and in the Montemiletto municipality, where Aglianico grapes are grown. These vineyards are strategically positioned between 450 and 600 meters above sea level, benefiting from a southern exposure and featuring hilly terrain with medium-textured soils.

The wealth of expertise in winemaking has been passed down through generations, driven by an inherent passion for their craft and a state-of-the-art cellar that allows the production of exceptional wines. These wines have gained recognition and admiration in even the most discerning global markets.

The winery was founded in the latter half of the previous century by Benito, who was Gabriella’s father. However, wine production was already a tradition of the Ferrara family dating back to the early 1900s in the quaint San Paolo hamlet. Benito, an innovative and forward-thinking entrepreneur, recognized the key elements of successful winemaking. Together with his wife, Michelina, they dedicated themselves wholeheartedly to establishing and advancing their new venture.

Today, Gabriella is at the helm of the company, carrying forward the legacy created by her father, Benito. Thanks to his expertise and dedication, the winery has earned a prestigious reputation among the wineries in Campania and throughout Italy.
