Domaine Jean-Noel Gagnard

Burgundy, France

Founder Jean-Noël retired long ago, and since the mid-nineties, his daughter, Caroline Lestimé, has assumed control of Domaine Jean-Noël Gagnard, overseeing the vineyard, cellar, and office. Recently, her husband Hubert has also joined her in this endeavor.

Caroline is dedicated to producing exceptional Chassagne wines, honoring both tradition and the environment. The estate’s holdings include some exceptional vineyards like Chassagne-Montrachet Les Caillerets and Bâtard-Montrachet.

Their white wines follow a traditional production method, aging in barrels for a minimum of 18-20 months, with only a quarter of the barrels being new. These wines are bottled with minimal filtration, resulting in expressive and impressive Chassagnes that beautifully showcase the intricate nuances of their terroir.

In 2014, the estate received organic certification, further emphasizing their commitment to environmentally responsible winemaking practices.
