Romain Poirrotte represents the fresh, new face of the longstanding Volnay estate. Romain frequently collaborated with his grandfather, and he found it appropriate for the estate to continue bearing his grandfather’s name, Jean Vaudoisey.
Jean Vaudoisey, Romain’s grandfather, and Romain, who now represents the sixth generation of this family lineage since 1806, have assumed control of this 7-hectare family vineyard. Romain’s 7 hectares encompass a range of wines, including regional varieties, Volnay, Volnay 1er Cru, Pommard, and even a touch of Meursault.
The grape selection is meticulously done both in the vineyards and once again at the estate, with all the stems being removed
