Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno break the mold in so many ways, from the two sisters who run the estate (which sadly, remains very rare in Piedmont), to owning the top of the hill of Cannubi, to offering sensational wines at fair prices. Their roots can be traced back five generations to a one-time mayor of Barolo who established his family winery in 1897.
Since 1897, this family-owned winery has been crafting iconic wines from their Cannubi vineyard. If Italy were to adopt a vineyard classification system similar to Burgundy’s, there’s no doubt that Cannubi would rank among the Grand Crus. In fact, it’s safe to say that it would reign supreme even among the most renowned and celebrated vineyards.
Today, the fifth generation, represented by Emanuela and Federica, carries on the tradition of crafting exquisite and genuine wines from their exceptional vineyards across the Langhe region.
