Juicy Rebound winemaker Douglas Danielak is unquestionably one of Napa’s most gifted minds, dubbed a ‘rising star’ by fellow peers and critics alike. He spent over a decade studying at Beaune’s winemaking school, and working with some true legends with names like Jacques Frederic Mugnier. Bringing his knowledge back to California, Douglas formed part of a tasting group of early believers in 1989 including Helen Turley, Mark Aubert, David Ramey and Ted Lemon.
While still largely unknown to the public, Douglas makes, and consults on some famous estates in California. But Juicy Rebound is more personal: It’s where Douglas is emotionally invested not only as a winemaker but as a proprietor. The product of elite vineyards in Oakville and Rutherford respectively, these are masterful, cult-luring Napa Cabernets for a very ‘un-cult’ Napa price.
