Salvatore Molettieri

Campania, Italy

The Azienda Vitivinicola Salvatore Molettieri was founded in 1983, adding a sense of entrepreneurial pride to a farming, viticulture, and winemaking legacy spanning at least four generations. Salvatore, both a vineyard expert and winemaker, draws upon the wisdom gained from tending to the family’s historic vineyards and three decades of experience on the estate. Thanks to this wealth of knowledge, the estate now holds a prominent position in both national and international markets.

The vineyards cover an expanse of 13 hectares, situated at elevations ranging from 500 to 600 meters above sea level on the picturesque Montemarano hills. Montemarano is one of the seventeen charming villages within the Taurasi DOCG appellation. This region, with its clayey-calcareous soils and excellent sun exposure, is perfectly suited for grape cultivation and winemaking. It is particularly renowned for crafting wines like Irpinia DOC Aglianico, Irpinia DOC Campi Taurasini, Irpinia DOC Rosso, Taurasi and Taurasi Riserva DOCG, as well as the white wines Fiano di Avellino DOCG and Greco di Tufo DOCG.

Salvatore Molettieri wines are imported into Canada by Domaine Selections. Contact us today!
